For I will not dare to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to lead the Gentiles to obedience by word and deed, by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. Romans 15:18-19
Paul understood that everything he did was Jesus at work in him, doing the work. He preached the good news of salvation and the kingdom of God with words and he demonstrated it with the power of God. He calls this “fully” preaching the gospel. For centuries, the body of Christ has solely relied on preaching to spread the gospel. Our world, however, is increasingly becoming one that is focused on “experience.” The need to have an experience of God is crucial; gratefully, we are equipped by the Holy Spirit to show the love of God. “For creation eagerly awaits the revelation of the children of God” (Romans 8:19).
Take a few minutes to thank God for his gifts. Ask Him for a next step to take in fully preaching the gospel of Christ.
