“The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.”

Before Pentecost, when the Apostles were waiting as Jesus had instructed, they were still grappling with all that had happened. They still didn’t fully understand how the Scriptures and the Law were fulfilled in Christ’s death. They were hiding from the authorities and mourning the death of Jesus. When the Holy Spirit came upon them, they were at once filled with the fire of God’s love, which led them to want to teach others about God and the good news of His Kingdom. The Holy Spirit taught them the entire story of salvation and taught them how to proclaim it.


The Holy Spirit teaches us about Jesus, and there is always more to learn about His love. That love is the basis for every good thing we think and do. The Holy Spirit is an excellent teacher.
