This is the fourth week of our series, “Unexpected.” God wants to use the unexpected problems in our lives to draw us closer to him. While we cannot plan for the unexpected, we can prepare for it.

One way we can prepare for unexpected trials and tribulations is to build our faith in ordinary time. If we invest time on a regular basis by going to Mass, reading Scripture, and connecting with other followers of Christ, we come to know and understand God. This knowledge and understanding gives us a firm foundation during times of trouble. 

Pray today for the discipline to build your faith during ordinary time.
