You shall be a glorious crown in the hand of the Lord, a royal diadem held by your God. 

Isaiah 63:3

Isaiah continues to describe what the Messiah accomplishes for his people. He uses this poetic metaphor to describe the value God puts on his people. They are like a precious and valuable crown held in God’s hand. 

God looks at you in Jesus Christ and doesn’t see your sin. He doesn’t dwell on your past mistakes and failures. He looks at you as precious and valuable.

Take a minute to reflect on that image of someone holding a crown or something very valuable in his or her hand. Ask God to help you to see how valuable you are to him.
