And on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother. The prostrated themselves and did him homage. They opened their treasures and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 

Matthew 2:11

The Wise Men worship and honor Jesus. They honor him by making an offering. Then God warns them in a dream not to return to Herod so they went home a different way. 

When we meet Jesus we are never the same. We can’t go back to the same life. Jesus offers us a better way of life – one that is more fulfilling and meaningful. He offers the abundant life.
