After their audience with the king they set out. And behold, the star that they had seen as its rising preceded them, until it came and stop over the place with the child was. They were overjoyed at seeing the star. 

Matthew 2:9-10

The Magi set out for Bethlehem and see a star over the house of the child Jesus. In seeing the star, they are overjoyed. They are overjoyed because their long journey had come to completion when they found the child Jesus. 

The goal of our lives is to meet Jesus. We meet Jesus over and over again through personal habits and disciplines and by seeking him in our circumstances. We can find the joy of meeting Jesus in the circumstances in our lives if we seek him like the Magi. 

Pray today for the grace to seek Jesus in your circumstances. Ask Jesus to show you what he is doing in your current circumstances. How can they draw you closer to him?
