When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wing, and it filled the entire house in which they were.

Acts 2:1

All of Jesus’ disciples were together at prayer. The whole Christian community, who had come to believe that Jesus was the Messiah who rose from the dead. While at prayer the Holy Spirit came and filled their house. After the Holy Spirit came the disciples no longer stayed together in a holy huddle. Once they received the Holy Spirit they dispersed into all the earth to spread the good news. The Holy Spirit emboldened the disciples to go out into a hostile world and spread the good news of God’s love. 

Through this series are going to follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit when it comes to connecting with our neighbors. Bold steps might be as simple as saying hello or introducing yourself.
