And they told him, “We came to the land which you sent us; it flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. Yet the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large; and besides we saw the descendants of Anak there.
But Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once, and occupy it; for we are able to overcome it.”
Numbers 13:28; 30
After 40 days and 40 nights, the spies come back from the Promised Land. They tell Moses that the land does flow with milk and honey and that it produces large, luscious fruit. However, there are obstacles. The cities are well fortified, and the people are strong. Caleb urges the Israelites to occupy the land and not let the obstacles stop them from entering the Promised Land.
There will always be obstacles involved in going to the good places God wants to lead us. If we focus on the obstacles and ignore the opportunity, we can become paralyzed. Ask God today for the grace to see the opportunity and not allow the obstacles to keep you from the better place he is leading you.
