We are in the fourth week of our lenten series. We have been made to live in eternity with God and so the purpose of this life is to begin living that life right now. We are to live in light of God’s purposes. 

 

This week, we are looking at the purpose of discipleship. We have been created to be like Christ in our character. We are to become people who do what Jesus would do in our situation. Becoming like Christ requires that we make efforts to grow more like him. However, becoming like Christ is not something that comes from our work — we cooperate with God’s grace. 

 

In your prayer time today, tell God that you want to become like his Son in your character.
