Jesus came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near, for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So, then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus as the capstone.
Ephesians 2:18-20
Paul writes to the Ephesians and reminds them that they are no longer traveling aimlessly through life. They can have peace with God. They know that they belong to God and to his household.
The same is true for us. We have been formed for God’s family. This means we can find our identity as beloved sons and daughters of God.
Thank God today that he has formed you for his family. You have a place where you belong.
