I am grateful to God, whom I worship with a clear conscience as my ancestors did as I remember you constantly in my prayer, night and day. I yearn to see you again recalling your tears, so that I may be filled with joy, as I recall your sincere faith.

1 Timothy 1:3-5

Paul tells Timothy that he is grateful for him. He prays for him constantly because of the close relationship they had. Paul mentored Timothy in the faith and was a spiritual father to him. They were like family.

Pray today for a family member or someone very close to you.   Thank God today for the relationship you have with him or her. After your prayer, write an e-mail, a text, or an actual letter to let him or her know about your prayer of gratitude.
