This is the sixth week of our series “In the Beginning.” We are looking at the first eleven chapters of Genesis that tell us about the primeval history of the world. This week we are looking at the story of Noah. While the story is often seen as a children’s story, it looks at how to deal with the wide spread of evil and injustice. 

God takes drastic measures to start a new world and wash the world clean with a flood. Noah and his family are protected from the flood by climbing in the ark. The ark has been understood to prefigure the Church.
