In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.

John 1:1-3

The Gospel of John begins with the same words from the book of Genesis. John uses this language to emphasize that the Son who is the word of God existed at the time of creation and has always existed.

Jesus, the Word came to fully reveal the Father. The work of revelation begins at creation and is made complete in the person of Jesus Christ.

Thank God today that he reveals himself in his creation and has revealed himself fully tomorrow.
