Here it is again: “A new teaching with authority.” Jesus has the power to do something new, to change something in people’s lives. And he actually does what he says.

Jesus has the power to make all things new. He ushered in a fresh and new thinking that challenged the status quo and encouraged the people of his generation to do the same. It is ironic that the Church he established so often gets stuck in the past in a way that it misses the new things God is doing.

The first step for something new to happen in your life is simply naming what it is that God should do for you. Time and time again in the Bible we see that Jesus’ power gets unleashed when people take time to be specific with what they want from God.

Jesus has the power to make all things new. What is the new thing in 2018 that you want him to do in your life? Name it as clearly as you can and pray that he may help you in your endeavor.
