We love brand-new things. The new things we love can be as small and as simple as a brand-new bar of soap or a brand-new can of tennis balls. Maybe you love brand-new clothes or shoes. You may love the feel of brand-new gear like golf clubs or skis or a lacrosse stick. If you are a technology geek, you love when brand-new technology comes out and you’re the first to buy the latest products. The brand new you love depends upon your unique interests and personality.


Our love for all things new points to a deeper desire. We long to be made new. The Good News of Christianity, the Good News of Easter, is that God wants that for us, too. The even better news is that God wants to make us brand-new beings. Our job is to participate as he makes us a new creation.
